English 1A with instructor Adrienne Oliver, was very engaging. I must admit I have never taken a class that was about hip hop or the learning of hip hop and its history. I gained a lot from this class as I expressed in my in class presentation. This class helped me to expand my thinking when it comes to writing, it has also taught me how to do real research when studying a complex topic. Challenges in this class to me were, understanding some assignments and the topics we were given to write essays on. These challenges also help me to over come and look how fast time flies the semester is already over with. I enjoyed this unique class and the topics we discussed while attending instructor Olivers class. I wish all my class mates the best and hope to see you guys in the future. One love ❤️

I watched the class grow into a center of continued learning that focused on non-traditional forms of learning that included the study of the diverse cultures in America, the origin of the hip-hop culture, public speaking, rhetorical writing, and more. Weeks later I noticed that I have not only developed my skills as a better writer, but I have also gotten exposed to lots of information about my environment that I never knew that I was not very informed about until now.
