From the very beginning of taking this class I knew it would be a lot of writing and reading. I have never been too fond of writing essays and critical thinking. But through the semester, it helped me to learn a lot about academic writing and also got exposed to the hip hop culture which totally changed my perceptions I had before taking this class. I am really glad that I took this class with Ms. Oliver, who through service learning taught us a lot about the community and academic writing. This class is definitely the best class for my semester.
